I’m not a huge fan of Mother’s Day and I feel celebrated by my children and husband throughout the year with little unplanned moments of tenderness, caring, and appreciation. Sometimes the pressure to find the perfect outing, or gathering on Mother’s Day can ruin the moment. I’m not against celebrating, it’s just not worth stressing over.
Towne has a great option that sounds like a lot of fun, and it’s a great deal at $20 per family. Mother’s Day need not be just one day, so to kick-off to the big day,T owne is opening its patio on Saturday, May 10 for an afternoon of fun for the whole family. Moms are invited to primp with hairstyling and partial updos from a Salon Capri stylist, relax with a chair massage and try out a makeup application from Elizabeth Grady and a well-deserved glass of wine while dads and kids decorate cards to honor their special ones. To keep families well-fed, bites for kids and more adventurous appetizers for adults will be provided. In addition, Towne’s new spring brunch menu will be available to enjoy indoors for purchase throughout the day.
Should you feel like you never want to leave Towne after being sipping, styling, and melting in the massage chair, Towne has an a la carte Mother’s Day brunch on Sunday, May 11 complete with assorted house-made breakfast pastries, raw bar selections, a variety of brunch classics. Tickets are $20 per family for Saturday’s festivities and are available at the door. Families who join Towne on Saturday and wish to come back on Sunday for Mother’s Day brunch will receive a $20 gift card, good for food only during brunch on Sunday, May 11.
