What’s The Opposite of Tiny Bubbles?

I don’t like to think about Chanukah or Christmas until Thanksgiving has come and gone, but the reality of it is that the catalogues are dropping into the house faster than the bees did outside at the first frost.    The other truth of the matter is that I do not do holiday shopping during holiday shopping time because it’s a zoo out there.  So, I start thinking about what the kids play with and poke around to see what is “new and improved” in the world of toys and start a little collection of gifts pretty much year-round, but it ramps up just about now.

I recently attended two Toy events, Blogger Bash this summer and most recently the HoliDay of Play.  I have a few favourites to share and one of them will be a lot of fun to have around earlier than the holidays.  The Wubble Bubble Ball, which I was recently sent for review, will be a great way to get the family outside together having fun at Thanksgiving.  There is something magical about bubbles that you never outgrow.  This ball is like a giant bubble that you can toss around to one another, chase across a field, or make up games with.

We all know how to play ball.  We’ve kicked around a soccer ball.  We have tossed a baseball back and forth.  We’ve thrown a few footballs in our time.  We’ve played four square with the playground balls.  Part of the fun of the Wubble Bubble Ball is that it doesn’t move like all the traditional playground and sports balls we all know and love.  So some of the fun is just getting used to the way it moves.

The Wubble Bubble ball is not totally indestructible because it needs to be fairly thin so that it can have the characteristics of a bubble.  Should your Wubble Ball snag or puncture there is a lifetime replacement guarantee so that you can replace the ball for $6.99.

The Wubble Ball can be found at Target, Toys R Us and online at http://www.wubbleball.com.

If you are looking for some “new and improved” good old fashioned fun for the family, kids of all ages, a birthday party, or a family gathering, then I highly recommend getting the Wubble Bubble Ball. As for us, we’ll be taking this bubble out for Thanksgiving so that the whole family can work up an appetite for dinner after an all ages game of pass the Wubble Bubble Ball at the playground.

These will also find their way onto my gift shelf for birthdays this year.  I love that it appeals to children of all ages and kids with any interests.
