Gift Guide: Shopping Local

If you’re sitting by your computer shopping online, there may be someone bringing you a cocktail, and good cheer, but I bet it’s much easier to find by bundling up and skipping out your door to head to some of the local craft fairs, holiday strolls and some of my favorite little boutiques.

We use Amazon.com for gift ideas to send to parents and grandparents and on occasion Santa for that hard to find item, because it might not be easy for them to get out and shop or they live in a smaller town with fewer shops.  I love to shop local though and here are just a few stops I make in addition to the holiday strolls.

Last weekend, Observatory Hill had their holiday stroll.  This Thursday, Huron Village will have theirs.  Don’t miss the Gather Here Handmade Holiday shop at Uniun in Somerville. Saturday, December 20th (that’s two weekends from now).

Then of course there is the Eat Boutique pop up market.  The Eat Boutique Holiday Pop-Up Shop (1377 Boylston Street) runs through 12/21:
Thursday – Saturday 11AM-7PM
Sunday 11AM-5PM
