Leah’s Dinner: Fuji at Assembly (Somerville)

My daughter,  my friend’s high schooler, and I had a girls’ night out this Friday while the boys had a movie night in. It was a low key fun night catching up and chatting. Talking teen and tween innuendos, music, food and life in general.  The food at Fuji at Assembly was delicious and the ambiance was chic yet low key. It’s the kind of space that you could enjoymout with friends, on a date, or out with the family.  I say the more the merrier so you can try more of the menu.

I loved the spicy chicken wings partly because they had real heat.  The calamari were famtastic with the lightest batter and a deliciously garlicky and hot topping. We ordered so much because the menu had everything from Tempura Udon to sushi, spicy chicken wings, General Gao’s chicken and even fried cheesecake which tempted us but we decided that was a meal in itself to be enjoyed another day.

Have questions about what you see? Leave them in the comments and I’ll answer as best I can.

Fuji at Assembly is located at Assembly Row in Somerville.  Assembly Row is a multiuse outdoor mall of sorts. It is a spot we like to go for the movies. In nice weather it makes a great family night out with a stroll along the Mystic River and a little playground time followed by dinner.
Assembly Row also puts on great events from yoga sessions al fresco to concerts.
