April, The Joke is On You: Xfinity to the Rescue (Sponsored)

The best way to deal with this temperamental weather, New England, is full on denial.

  • Step 1: Buy some pretty floral spring wrapping paper from your local TJMaxx or Paper Source and plaster all your windows with it.
  • Step 2: Turn up the thermostat or grab all your cozy blankets.
  • Step 3: Fill a pitcher with ice and lemonade.
  • Step 4: Turn on Xfinity X1 and only leave the room if absolutely necessary.

As always, all opinions are my own, but I must also disclose that I have received compensation from Xfinity to share this information with you.

Xfinity Watchathon Week is here from April 3rd -9th.  The Watchathan will offer Netflix  for non-subscribers as well as access to a huge list of channels (see below). If you do not have X1 in your house then don’t worry because Xfinity makes it easy for you to upgrade at no cost. (There is no difference in fees between the legacy video offering and X1).

At the moment in our house the Netflix show of choice is Gilmore Girls. I introduced my daughter to the show over Thanksgiving. My daughter and husband have been glued to the tv watching it in the kitchen on a loop ever since.  I loved the show and i’m glad they are hooked on it now so many years later.

T.V. has come a long way from when I was Rory Gilmore’s age.  There are so many well made shows and everyone has a list of their latest greatest series to binge watch. I prefer the trashy reality shows, but lately my son and I have really enjoyed watching Who Do You Think You Are?, Timeless, and Supergirl.

What is on your watch list?

I really miss The West Wing and my husband recently suggested we start watching it from the beginning again. Xfinity Watchathon week might be just the time to start it.
